A discussing meeting on elderly care industry held in Tianjin on February 28.
Under the auspices of
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Tianjin sub-Council
(CCPIT Tianjin) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), a discussing
meeting on elderly care industry held in Tianjin on February 28. Attending the
meeting were over 160 representatives from Tianjin enterprises in the field of
elderly care products and services, and officials from Tianjin Commission of
Commerce and Tianjin Civil Affairs Bureau. CCPIT Tianjin Deputy Inspector Zhao
Feng and JETRO (Beijing) Office Representative Tabata Yoshihisa attended and
spoke in the meeting.

The rapid economic advances and the growing trend of rising aging population bring not only challenges but also opportunities for Tianjin to accelerate the development of elderly care industry, Mr. Zhao Feng said. Continued perfection of eldercare system is on the way in Tianjin, he said, adding that senior housing real estate, elderly care products and services would be very much developing in the city. He said Japan’s experience on eldercare service, health-care, and elderly care products are beneficial for Tianjin businessmen to learn from. CCPIT Tianjin organizing the meeting aimed to assist Tianjin enterprises in learning more about Japanese elderly care system and new skills and models to help Tianjin businessmen explore business potential with their Japanese counterparts, Mr. Zhao mentioned.

nursing, and products for senior citizens.
