Latin American envoys visit Tianjin

A delegation involving diplomatic envoys from 7 Latin American countries as Surinam，Ecuador，Peru，and Uruguay visited Tianjin and participated business activities organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Tianjin sub-Council (CCPIT Tianijn) and Foreign Affairs Office of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government.

Tianjin Deputy Mayor Zhao Haishan met with the delegation in Tianjin Guest House on December 7. The two sides exchanged ideas on promoting Tianjin-Latin America cooperation in investment and trade. CCPIT Tianjin Deputy Inspector Zhao Feng attended the meeting.

A discussing meeting on Tianjin-Latin American economic and trade was held in Tianjin Geneva Hotel on December 8. Representatives from 6 embassies in China as Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Mexico, Cuba and Ecuador elaborated their countries competitive industries and potential to attendees.

The discussing meeting attracted over 100 Tianjin local businessmen and tapped potentials of Latin American countries in the fields of infrastructure, energy, manufacture, agriculture, and tourist industry.

In Tianjin, the delegation also visited Tianjin Food Group, Construction Engineering Group, and Housing Group, and explored logistics and sales markets in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone.
