TEDA's economic and social development in 2017 achieved fruitful results: 324 newly introduced projects with investment of over 100 million yuan
The full-caliber fiscal revenue reached 58.96 billion yuan and the total import and export volume reached 241.8 billion yuan ... The reporter learned from the TEDA Working Meeting 2018 held on February 24 that in 2017, TEDA focused on building "five modern Tianjin" and creation of a prosperous and livable intelligent new city, promoted regional integration and institutional innovation and paid close attention to economic development, environmental improvement, reform and innovation, safety and stability, party building and other work, with new results achieved.
Institutional reform has achieved initial results.
Over the past year, TEDA has been devoted to grasping the reform and innovation and pushing forward the major achievements of the systematic reform. TEDA Street was established; the Binhai Central Business District has been merged into TEDA so a "new TEDA" and "big TEDA" were presented; the newly merged team was established and the institutional mechanisms with integration of the administrative committee and the working committee was formally operated; the new "three fixed" program was approved by the municipal government, forming closely links to economic functions and highlighting the streamlining of efficient organizational structure; it has completed organizational restructuring and cadre competition and established the full appointment of cadres of the Administrative Committee, up-and-down cadres and personnel system. The above five steps have all been completed before the Spring Festival.
Last year, more than 170 innovative and operational achievements emerged in the TEDA Innovation Symposium, forming a strong atmosphere of grasping innovation, seeking innovation and promoting innovation. The Binhai Central Business District was approved as one of the country's first industry and financial cooperation pilot zoned and it has formed a number of innovative operation cases in the innovative financial services for central enterprises, private equity funds and general money management, cross-border investment and financing, supply chain finance and other fields.

For TEDA, 2017 is the fruitful year of investment attraction. In the past year, the MSD Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei industrial docking zone has been successfully launched with 393 newly signed projects from the capital with a total investment of 66.4 billion yuan. "Four batches" has been vigorously pushed forward to introduce 324 new projects with a total investment of over 100 million yuan and 48 projects with investment exceeding one billion yuan. Samsung SDI, BP Lubricants, Jingdong Intelligent Logistics, Haihe Industrial Fund, iQIYI Art Advertising Culture and other projects were signed; Volkswagen Gear Box APP290, Continental Automotive, Lubricants and other projects were under construction; John Deere new tractor, Schreder Lighting, Sweden Hilding Anders and other projects were completed and put into production; major construction projects were progressing smoothly while FAW-Volkswagen North China prototype car was off the assembly line and 14 ancillary contractors started construction; FAW Toyota new frontline, Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical, Sinopec LNG, Carbonate, relocation of Tianjin Bohai Chemical and other key projects were implementing according to plans.
The business card of scientific and technological innovation of TEDA is getting shiny. TEDA's science and technology policy system has basically taken shape. Ten innovative measures have been launched, including the top ten innovative special funds and the top ten scientific and technological innovation projects. Scientific and technological carriers have been continuously improved, Yujiapu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base, TEDA Intelligent Unmanned Equipment Industrial Park, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Big Data Co-processing Center were under solid advancement while the military academy of sciences artificial intelligence civil-military fusion innovation center was signed and settled, and the National Supercomputer Tianjin Center and the supportive role of other major national innovation platforms were significantly enhanced. According to statistics, 86 state-level high-tech enterprises were newly added in 2017 and 81 high-tech enterprises with annual sales income exceeding 100 million yuan were newly added, with an accumulative total of 557, accounting for the largest increase and total amount in Tianjin.
