With the rapid development of e-commerce, large-scale durable consumer goods transactions have gradually shifted from offline to online. Due to the unique attributes of automobile products and the characteristics of domestic consumption habits, there is still no perfect car e-commerce platform, and the clue mode is still the mainstream. This year, the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone has set up a new platform for sales of parallel imported cars, enabling traditional overseas offline display and sales to online and overseas procurement, online financial services, online wholesale and retail, unified distribution and settlement, offline experience, off-site delivery, etc. The function is integrated into the transformation of the e-commerce platform.
The on-line project of the new retail e-commerce platform was officially put into operation on October 16. The three major platforms of H2B, B2B and B2C were launched. The sales of investment projects of Tianjin International Automobile City in Tianjin, Changsha, Guangzhou and Xinjiang were unified into the 2.0 version of the integrated service e-commerce platform for settlement in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. At the same time, the project reached a cooperation intention with Chery, Geely, Kia and other OEMs, and launched the retail business of the above brand cars on the platform. According to statistics, the platform has been officially running for more than half a month, and more than 100 parallel imported cars have been sold online.
It is claimed that the Administrative Committee of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone and the major parallel automobile import enterprises have started to develop and construct a new platform (model) for sales of parallel import automobile since the beginning of 2018, and realize the 2.0 version upgrading. Binhai International Automobile City, located in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, has completed the new sales model through the use of big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence technology and information advantages, and the offline experience through nearly five years of market research, model innovation, business negotiation, and systematic research and development. The development and construction of the 2.0 version realizes the transformation of the new retail e-commerce platform in one car such as the functions of traditional single-line offline exhibition and sales to online and overseas procurement, online financial services, online wholesale and retail, unified distribution and settlement, offline experience, standardized inspection, and off-site delivery. Domestic large-scale e-commerce companies such as Alibaba, Tencent Auto, Jingdong Auto, and Auto Home are connected to the project as a business promotion platform.
